いろんな物をゲットしました!

OOTD

Something a bit different and more student-like... well maybe not the shoes haha
I'm actually wearing an eye necklace but you can't really see it in the picture >.<

Since I ran out of Maybelline BB Cream, I was looking around for a replacement and I decided on Canmake (probably just because of the packaging) which comes in a super cute bottle and matched my skin tone. Too bad there's only 2 shades - light and natural :S

I also picked up a lovely box to store my contacts and falsies. I loved how the contacts case is rose shaped and the box has a White Rabbit motif on it just like the one from Alice in Wonderland! I think it would look really nice if I brought it along while wearing my clock skirt :) But I wish the covers of the contacts case was also in muted metallic pink instead of Barbie pink plastic. The box is actually quite heavy which shows that the materials aren't just cheap.

This is some of the stuff that I bought recently! I love the prints on the skirts because they match the accessories that I got, such as the skeleton hand clip and the acid washed denim shirt.

Working on chemistry past papers... so boring...

BIG EYES ATTEMPT - Gyaru Eye Make Trial

One of the main elements of gyaru make-up is definitely having large, dolly eyes.

I read many different Popteen magazine tutorials for eye make-up and I was inspired to create this look. Even though it's quite simple and I didn't actually "create" it as such, I still want to share it because it looks pretty cool and a bit creepy at the same time.

The key feature here are my circle lenses. The diameter is quite big so it makes me look permanently shocked more like a doll. I used shiny brown eye shadow from a Pupa make up box set to make my eyelid and crease more defined, and from that same box I used the highly pigmented white eye shadow on my inner corners of my eye to look more awake.

This time, I tried extending my eye liner inwards to draw on a tear duct (?) on the inner corners which actually looks quite anime-like. I was inspired by some cosplayers who do this and I thought it looked pretty decent.

The upper lashes are my Spring Heart 04 Long & Volume Limited 12, and the lower lashes are my favourite Dolly Wink No. 5 Real Nude :)

I'm still not used to this style of eye liner, but hopefully it will grow on me in the future!
This was a short post but I hope you enjoyed it~

Rainbow Gala 11

I need to check my email more often... because I know this is really late but I got an amazing fan mail around a month ago (SHAME ON ME) from Nicole Yu -

She's so sweet! I never thought I'd get any type of fan mail so I barely check, but I'll be more diligent and make it my home page tab ^^
It really touched me that something I started as a hobby could inspire people enough to send me messages!
Thanks so much Nicole for the lovely mail~ If you have a blog or anything, I'd definitely check it out ^^ I appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my random blog posts, and I hope to post more and more in the future :)

Rainbow Gala - another comic convention that I went to just to look around, and also to pick up a few things. Compared to Comic World from a few weeks ago, this one was a lot smaller with less people, and the overall feeling was kind of "blehhhh" rather than "kyaaaa" if you get what I mean!!
Really wasn't bothered to cosplay so I just dressed more 'awesomely' than usual.

OOTD

The skirt is something that I bought a few days ago because of its special print. I thought that the clocks were really unique and would look good with a few different styles, so I paired it with a gold chain spike necklace and a gold armour ring. Those items stand out quite a bit, so the blue shirt, shoes and bag was kept simple.

Looks quite Alice in Wonderland style
I had lunch first before going since there isn't much to eat at the exhibition centre.

The food didn't look good enough to take a photo of but it tasted good! ^^; I like the stained glass wall hehe

Close up of my makeup - Tony Moly orange lip stick, brown eyeliner and 24-bit pixel glasses!

There was a cool maze in the exhibition centre and also photographers on every floor close to the centre (the white umbrellas in the picture below.)

The entrance ticket was HK$30 as usual, but there was an entry timeslot - mine was at 1:45pm, but I arrived at 1 so I basically walked around with nothing to do for 45 minutes. They should have had more relevant shops (apart from furniture shops) that people could go to while waiting... > <

My entrance stamp ^^
The inside of the hall was so cramped and sweaty that I couldn't take a proper picture, so here's one that I found online of the same hall.

There were rows upon rows of tables selling doujin, fan art, figures and more, but I didn't find anything that I liked. Every Rainbow Gala has a theme, and this time, the theme was "Red Riding Hood" so even the information book had a Red Riding Hood design. I really like how it looks!

You can see my brown eyeshadow much more clearer in this picture! My eyebrows look pretty bad though...

Anyway that's all I have for this post, I'll blog soon....

LONG TIME no blog

I'm not even going to try make excuses this time...

Okay maybe that's exaggerating the situation but that's what I feel like every day!
Ugh I hate the new Picasa layout - it takes way longer to load albums since each photo is so big (especially when you have around 1000 photos in each album too)! And you can't just quickly scroll to the bottom... also what's with copying Facebook's photo layout with the semi-transparent black background thing?

I promised to upload some photos from Comic World 35, so here they are:

Does anyone know a good online photo album/sharing website other than Flickr?
Ever since my hard drive broke I've been really careful with my photos and I want to back them up online somewhere just in case >.<

I was also recently invited to my close friend's 18th birthday dinner so I'll upload some photos of that when I get them! Here's a collage of selfies though - it's what happens when you're the only person on a public bus!!

I tried making my eyebrows a bit bolder to fill up my huge forehead... what do you think? Do I look manly?
Apart from that, I haven't really bought anything lately so no haul posts or reviews just yet - I've decided not to spoil myself until after my final exams which are in May. That's less than 2 months away and I have not even started revising yet! Everything that I've learnt in the past 2 years is for this exam so I'd better not screw up...

Can't wait until it's over so that I can freely dress up and do make up tutorials and cosplay again *_* Sooooo many cosplans!

REVIEW - Buticon Colour Disposable Soft Circle Lens (RED)

When it comes to cosplay circle lenses, there isn't much choice in Hong Kong unless you buy these super expensive (but legit) lenses. I needed red for my Kamiki Izumo and Yuzuriha Inori cosplays, so I opted for these Buticon lenses even though I had never heard of the brand before, but one of my friends had tried it and apparently they were okay, so I bought them too.

Overview
Brand - Buticon
Design/Colour - Colour Disposable Soft Circle Lens (RED)
Size - 14.0mm
Base Curve - 8.6
Lifespan - 12 months
Price - HK$99 (US$)

This is the other side of the lenses but the red is still really bright! Looks very suitable for cosplaying ^^

One Lens

Both Lens

Doesn't really enlarge my eyes, but I love the colour! It's just as vibrant in real life. If the outer ring was a bit thicker then it would be perfect! They are really comfortable too.

Would I buy this again? Yes, but only if I have several red eyed characters to cosplay!
